My stay at Hanksville Farm was an absolute delight, surpassing even my highest expectations. Not only did the staff warmly accommodate me and my peculiar tastes as an environmental activist, but the unique Gypsy wagon cabin I was upgraded to provided a cozy and nostalgic experience straight out of an old movie. The surrounding wheat fields, a vast sea of serenity, offered a stark yet breathtaking contrast to my usual urban jungle back home in Sweden. The meticulously clean and functional rustic facilities, including the charming parquet-floored cabin, showcased the perfect blend of simplicity and comfort. The lack of mosquitoes despite being immersed in nature was a pleasant surprise, allowing me to fully enjoy the surroundings without any disturbances. The simplicity and deliciousness of the breakfast served highlighted the farm's commitment to sustainability, a crucial aspect that resonated deeply with my values as an advocate for the Nordic model of sustainability.
